Cagliari d'Amare is a guest house at number 167 Via Roma, the arcaded street laid out in place of the old Marina walls, 50 metres from the train station and from the ARST regional bus terminal. The Marina district is about five minutes away on foot, and Castello, the hilltop old quarter, around ten.

The five room types range from the Comfort Single to the Deluxe Triple with a sofa bed, with three kinds of double in between, one with a city-view balcony. Every room has air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a fridge, a kettle and a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer.
Wi-Fi is free throughout, there is a lift and smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises. Breakfast is not served in-house: on request, an Italian breakfast of cornetto and cappuccino is available at a café 50 metres away. Cagliari d'Amare is 50 metres from the train station and the ARST bus terminal on Piazza Matteotti, where coaches leave for the whole island; CTM city buses also stop nearby. From Elmas airport the regional train reaches the station in 5–7 minutes, so anyone travelling by public transport can step off and be at the door in no time, without a taxi or car.
Under the Via Roma arcades you walk past eclectic and Liberty-style buildings from the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries. In about five minutes you are in the Marina, with its restaurants and shopping streets; in around ten you climb to Castello, with the cathedral, the towers and the Bastione di Saint Remy. Piazza del Carmine, which hosts concerts and folk events for Sant'Efisio in early May, is 100 metres away.
The Deluxe Triple Room is the largest at the property: a large double bed, a sofa bed and a sofa, for a couple with a child or three friends. Couples can go for the Double Room with Balcony, the only one with a city-view balcony. Rooms are described as soundproofed, have individually controlled air conditioning, and the upper floors are reached by lift.
